Abstract
Aim-to appreciate the epidemiology of tuberculosis and respiratory diseases in Ukraine. Methods - analysis of reports for 2008-2012 years by statistical methods. The incidence (per 100000) of pulmonary TB in the newly detected patients had decreased from 77,8 in 2008 to 68,1 in 2012 (on 12,5 %), of TB mortality from 22,4 to 15,1 in 2012 (on 32,6 %) through the implementation ofthe TBprogram. The incidence of MDR TB was 15,3 per 100000 in 2012.One of the important problems in TB control there is a constant increase in the incidence and mortality from co-infection tuberculosis/HIV that had increased from 8,7 per 100000 in 2011 p. to 10,4 in 2012 (on 16,4 %).The favorable outcome of the treatment in NDP patients with MBT+ by cohort analysiswas 55,7 % (lower of WHO indicator - 85 %). Average length of stayof patients with TB was 100,8-112,8 days in hospital. The incidence of respiratory diseases remains highwith a tendency todecrease from 17379,5 to 16017,0 per 100000 of population (on 7,9 %),but the incidence of pneumonia (P) had increased from 394 to 414 per 100000 ( on 5 %), of chronic bronchitis had decreased from 255 to 192 per 100000. The incidence of bronchial asthma (BA) has stabilizedandwas 23,8 in 2008 and 23,5 in 2012. The mortality of all respiratory diseases had decreased from 50,4 to 37,4 per 100000, in particular of BA- from 0,7 to 0,4 per 100000, of P- from 14 to 11,8 per 100000, of chronic diseases of the lower respiratory tract from 30,5 to 21,1 per 100000. Conclusion: in Ukraine the epidemiological situation of TB has stabilized, the incidence of respiratory diseases remains highwith a tendency todecrease, the mortality of all respiratory diseases had decreased.
