Abstract
Background: Many studies and discussions for the impact of health warnings knowledge about tobacco risks are ongoing in globally. However, Japanese warning message(msg) is small and no picture, it is insufficient since 2005.
Purpose: We investigate the present condition and aimed to improvement. Alongside examined about aware of COPD.
Methods: Questionnaire was performed a certain hospital visitors(A) and Our campus employees(B), students(C). Particularly, evaluated about the knowledge of risk package warning msg [
I: Lung cancer.
II: Cerebral stroke.
III: Myocardial infarction.
IV: Pulmonary emphysema(PE)].
Results: Imbalance in the warning msg recognition was observed in all groups."Risk of Lung cancer" knowledge was notably higher than other warning msg. Especially, disparity in identical respiratory-related PE(≅COPD) risk was conspicuous.

Conclusion: The results showed that the regardless of age and institutions, imbalance was observed. In addition, health harm of smoke, despite the knowledge of package warning ratio was not unified. This was speculated that the elderly from the youth in Japan were not exposed to anti-tobacco msg and/or were not taught about the harmful. Moreover, we considered important that all risk perceptions will be uniform. Therefore we should do more educate and precaution of Smoking and COPD.
