Summary: 
Human EETs capture Aspergillus fumigatus. Eosinophils undergoing EETosis release filamentous chromatin structures, i.e. EETs. A. fumigatus conidia (yellow pseudocolour) are entrapped by EETs. EETosis expands the eosinophil function even beyond its life span. Image obtained by scanning electron microscopy as described by Ueki et al. [63]. Scale bar=5 μm.
