Summary:
A 13-year-old boy presenting with fever and cough. a) CXR performed at admission in anterior–posterior projection shows an extensive upper right lobe opacification. b and c) LUS performed simultaneously with CXR shows a well-defined round consolidation with an “air bronchogram”. d–f) A CT scan performed the day after confirmed LUS findings, enhancing the inner features of the disease, as well as the presence of the air bronchogram. This was a case of Haemophilus influenzae pneumonia.
