Summary:
Four raw electromyographic (EMG) tracings, obtained from eight differential electrodes, are displayed on the dedicated ventilator screen labelled as electrical activity of the diaphragm (EAdi) catheter positioning. In the bottom part of the screen, the EMG signal from the closest pair of electrodes to the diaphragm, is transformed into a waveform whose x-axis is time and y-axis is μV (refer to text for further explanation).
