Summary: 
Respiratory model based on a Starling resistor for the collapsible upper airway when nasal continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is applied. CPAP increases the intraluminal pressure preventing the upper airway from collapsing. Ptr: intratracheal pressure; Pn: upstream (nasal) pressure; Poes: oesophageal pressure.
